C.A. Michaels, also writing children’s books under the name J.J. Carter, is the creator of the growing world of Inspector Skunky Luke and its unforgettable animal friends. What began as imagination during some of life’s hardest moments became a universe filled with courage, friendship, mystery, hope, and adventure.
A Survivor

A survivor of Stage 4 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Mum continues to battle through daily challenges with strength and determination. In July, she celebrates 2 years cancer free 🎗️
Through pain, recovery, and perseverance, she kept creating.
Every story, clue, compass mystery, pirate battle, and cozy moment between Skunky and Snowball was built from resilience and love. Her stories are not just adventures for children. They are proof that light can still be created during dark seasons.
